The Consejería de Educación is the Education Department of the Spanish Embassy in the United Kingdom and represents the Spanish Ministry of Education, Social Policy and Sports in this country.
The Consejería seeks to promote and support the teaching of Spanish language and culture through several programmes and services that are made available to schools across the UK.
The Consejería is directly responsible for the Spanish school in London, Instituto Español Cañada Blanch, and the Agrupación de Londres which provides extracurricular lessons to Spanish children in the London area.
UK schools can benefit from:
• Opportunities for Continuing professional development (CPD). Teachers can obtain grants to follow courses in Spain, register for online courses or attend training events.
• Resources to teach Spanish at all levels and to promote Spanish during Open Days or other similar events.
• Professional advice and support to forge links with Spain.
